BABGOC (Bali, May 28, 2008) - The Protocol and International Relations Directorate in coordination with the Human Resources Directorate conducted its first, of a series, training workshop on the 23rd and 24th of May at the Bali Beach Games Organizing Committee headquarters in Sector.
This two-day activity, participated in by 58 trainees (majority are below 21 years old) will be assuming the roles of Protocol Assistants/NOC Assistants for the 1st Asian Beach Games in October. It was a gathering of young, enthusiastic and vibrant people who are all very willing to promote Indonesia’s hosting of the Games. The objective of the workshop was to train people to provide high level of service and hospitality to VIPs and Guests who are coming for the Games. This in turn will assist the Organizing Committee in its mission for a successful preparation and conduct of the Games.
The morning session was a BABGOC affair. Mr. Ramon Suzara, Director of Operations opened with a brief on Indonesia’s hosting of the 1st Asian Beach Games. After the brief, all presentations and lectures were done by the different Directorates (Protocol and IR, Venues, Sports, Accreditation and Games Services) with the view of informing and teaching the trainees of the functions and responsibilities of their respective areas of concern.
The afternoon session was conducted by Darmawan & Associates. The firm was tapped to build a service-oriented attitude to the trainees. It prepared a 7-segment presentation workshop for the trainees.
